Sonos have now launched their own portable speaker, the Sonos Move. Alternative outdoor Sonos speakers are weatherproof tested and can be safely wired to a Sonos CONNECT:AMP and used to stream music outside.
Do not risk using standard Sonos speakers such as the PLAY5 or Sonos One outside as they are not waterproof or UV resistant speakers suitable for outdoor use long-term. If you want to keep partying on through the wind and rain then you’ll need a good set of high-performance outdoor speakers to use with your Sonos network. Once connected with the AMP you can still have complete control over your music via the Sonos App which you can download for free.
